About Daniel Lobo

I am a passionate and ambitious third-year Political Science student. My passion for political science and the inner workings of our international political system brought me to Radboud University. This bachelor's course emphasises quantitative and qualitative research methods, combined with a thorough theoretical understanding, which makes it a valuable approach. Although this course is comprehensive, it doesn't satisfy my thirst for knowledge and hands-on experience. This is why I have joined the board of the International Student Organisation of Nijmegen (ISON). The position of president is teaching me valuable skills, such as working in a team, organising events, and representing the organisation on formal occasions. Furthermore, I recently completed the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Ambassadorship at Radboud University to understand our current shortcomings, what students need, and how to achieve these goals. With this training, I am working with other students and faculty to improve the (social) environment at the university. My passion for helping people has driven me to volunteer at the local UNICEF department, where I will be aiding in organising fund and awareness-raising events. Next to my university studies, I have recently started working at a small business to help expand its operations and streamline its internal workings. I have also completed numerous courses from accredited institutions to help expand my understanding of the interrelationship between public policy and the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals, UN). Next year I would like to expand my horizon and start an internship.
