About Daniel Lyckman

With my background as an ICT educator, I am well aware of the importance of staying up to date with digital tools and social media. Continuing to learn about the tools that educators use is essential to providing the best possible learning environment for students and ensuring quality education. During my 25 years as an educator, I have been responsible for a wide range of groups - from primary and secondary students to staff groups. This experience has given me a strong pedagogical foundation and the ability to adapt my communication and leadership style to different audiences. In my current role as an ICT educator, I have both short and long term responsibilities. In the short term, I provide day-to-day support, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and offer expertise in ICT pedagogy and digital learning platforms such as Moodle. In the long term, I focus on identifying, evaluating and implementing digital resources that can enhance teachers' competencies and improve the quality of education. I have extensive experience with various devices and operating systems, including Windows, MacOS, Chromebook, iPad, and both iOS and Android smartphones. In addition, I have extensive knowledge of digital storytelling and work with tools such as Soundtrap, GarageBand, iMovie, and other platforms to create and stream lectures and webinars. I am also proficient in the Adobe software suite, with particular expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and InDesign. As an ICT educator, it is essential to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, to work independently, and to collaborate effectively with colleagues. My flexibility and problem solving skills allow me to adapt quickly to different situations and work with people with different needs. I consider myself to be responsible, solution-oriented, and motivated by challenges where fostering effective teamwork is a top priority. As I interact with many different people on a daily basis, it is essential that I maintain a professional approach and handle information in an accurate and ethical manner. I believe I have strong social skills, excellent teamwork abilities, and a natural ease in building new relationships. In my spare time I live in Kalmar with my partner and our three children (aged 2.5, 16 and 19). I have a great passion for sports, especially football, and follow my favorite team with great enthusiasm.
