About Daniel M. Semsel

Following my retirement from the military, I implemented the Veterans & Employers Connection to address the issue of high veteran unemployment in the greater Miami Valley. I followed this by taking my skills to the Ohio Department of Veterans Services to expand my support to Ohio's veteran population. I now provide executive leadership with the Montgomery County Veterans Service Commission, helping Montgomery county's veterans with challenges they may face I cultivated an employer outreach plan and nurtured relationships with those employers seeking to capitalize on the skills our veterans bring to the table. I taught employers how to find, employ, and retain veterans, and taught veterans the skills they need to land a job. My military service gave me over 24 years experience in strategic planning & requirements development, petroleum distribution management, supply chain & warehouse management, emergency management and crisis management. I take pride in my strong diplomacy skills and community relations experience. I am experienced in relationship building and have a deep understanding of the responsibilities and standards required to achieve a high level of performance. I'm a team player with strong multi-tasking and prioritization skill, and take a hands-on approach to leadership. This skill set served me well in the local, national, and international arenas.
