About Daniel Maratta

My name is Daniel Maratta and I’m a driven, experienced Full-Stack Web Engineer looking for remote work opportunities. I currently live in mid-west Tennessee with my wife and son. I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from West Texas A&M University and an Associate in Science in Business Administration from Amarillo College. I graduated from both institutions Summa Cum Laude, which I attribute to my passion for seeing things through to the end with a strong focus on excellence. Over the past 10+ years I have worked on a variety of web projects, from designing and publishing personal sites for clients to developing modular app solutions for employers. I also sometimes like to work on my own personal projects as I find the time. Throughout my time as a software engineer I have been exposed to a number of technologies. I love to learn and am constantly looking for ways to improve my knowledge so I can expand my palette of skills. C# and JavaScript are my strongest programming languages; however, I am willing to learn other programming languages or technologies as needed. As someone with a mixed background in engineering and business, one of my strongest passions is solving problems efficiently. When working on projects, I usually follow a logical approach – first focusing on the urgent and high-importance items first, then tackling subsequent issues based upon their importance and urgency to the project. If there are “above-and-beyond” goals, I tend to strive for them just to see if I can do it – but always ensuring first and foremost that the Minimum Viable Product conditions are met. On the fun side, I enjoy creative hobbies and working with my hands. I also enjoy playing and creating music and have been an avid musician for 15+ years. I aspire to have a workshop someday where I can have a space to be creative and have fun!
