A disciplined Manufacturing Engineer, providing technical support throughout a project life cycle. Ensuring budgets are adhered to, and client delivery dates are met. Having worked for clients such as Sellafield & Rolls Royce (Submarine Division), I am now predominantly focused on AWE projects within the Defence Nuclear Sector. My current responsibilities include; the generation of Quality Plans in accordance with contract specific technical specifications. Generation of BOM’s. Deciphering engineering drawings (Assembly/Weldments/Machined Details) optimising manufacturing methodology in a cost effective manner. Production of detailed work instructions for In-house & Sub contract manufacture, ensuring all applicable Inspection points are captured. In my role I offer support to all business functions. From Business Development, Design & Manufacturing. To Project Build, FAT’s & LTR’s. Providing technical assistance to the client, internal customers & supply chain. I have an active interest in new machining technologies/tooling as well as lean manufacturing. I have participated in various 5S programmes, delivering improved efficiencies throughout the business.
