About Daniel McCormack

I graduated from Leeds Beckett University in July 2025 and I achieved a First-Class Honours in Sport Business Management. Throughout my degree and the various modules I've completed, I've developed and learnt several new professional skills and expanded my knowledge on many complex concepts. The gained knowledge and new skills include management, leadership, business enterprise, entrepreneurship, digital media, marketing, data collection, analytics, economics, and governance. I’m a confident, outgoing and hard-working person who enjoys interacting with new people. I believe my best skills are my work ethic and my interpersonal skills. Furthermore, I've worked at The Met Hotel in Leeds City Centre as a bartender, waiter, and events team member throughout my time of study at Leeds Beckett University. University, and this job has taught me many life lessons and helped me develop many essential personal skills. For example, in order to balance my university work and my job, I've needed great time management skills. Moreover, my communication skills have grown exponentially because my job requires me to be friendly and sociable with every customer and to be happy and helpful towards everyone. University societies, sports teams, group work assignments, and my job have massively improved my ability to work well in a team. This is because they required me to be good at socialising with people and working well with others. Additionally, my work experience has helped me improve my sales skills. For example, in both of my previous bartending jobs, I've been actively encouraged to push sales and deals to customers. Personally, I feel that I excelled at this. Sport and fitness have been such an important part of my life throughout high school, college, and university because they always had such a positive impact on my physical and mental health. I've played numerous team sports over the years. My favourites were football and basketball, which I played for over six years. I managed to win individual awards as well as team awards during those years, such as managers' player of the season and a championship medal. I still play sports casually and exercise daily because it is great for staying in shape and for my mental well-being.
