Background
About Daniel McLellan
After nearly two decades with Snap-on Tools, I’m currently working as a Sales Developer for the North Central Region, supporting 24 franchises. I educate franchisees on new and existing products, support sales strategies through promotions, and help make their franchises more profitable. In both 2019 and 2020, I helped our Field Performance Team achieve Circle of Honor status, a top-achieving sales award. I started with Snap-on in the Credit division, working as an Account Manager in the Great Lakes Region, eventually being promoted to Senior Account Manager. In 2012, I was selected for a pilot program, working directly with franchisees in the field for the Southwest Region. For six months, I rode with franchise owners one-on-one to educate them on the various available Credit programs to help them increase their sales. That same year, I received the Circle of Excellence Award, one of Snap-on Credit’s highest accolades. I returned to Credit after the pilot program ended, but I’d found that I enjoyed being in the field and working on the sales side of things, especially when it came to teaching franchisees and customers about our products and programs. After working as a Credit Analyst for a couple of years, in 2015, I applied for a position as a Tool Storage Sales Representative (TSSR) for Snap-on Tools in the North Central Region. After working in that Rock n Roll program, in 2016, I relocated to the Central Region, where I was the top TSSR in sales for the region. In 2017, I led the entire nation in tool storage sales. I was then promoted to the Think Big tool sales program, which specializes in larger tool storage setups, covering the Central, Northwest, and Southwest regions. After the North Central Region made me an offer that included some exciting new challenges, I accepted my current position as a Sales Developer in 2019. Since then, I’ve consistently exceeded sales goals, averaging 106% to plan. I enjoy riding along with my franchisees to give sales support in the field. They know they can count on me when they need answers to questions, follow-up on orders, and clear, informative sales support. My years working on the Credit side of things has proven invaluable to my work in sales. I’m able to offer franchisees information on how the Snap-on Credit process works, so they can make informed decisions to support their businesses. I’m always happy to connect with fellow Snap-on employees and franchisees. If you’re interested in becoming a franchise owner or an employee with Snap-on, send me a message.
