About Daniel McLellan

Daniel is the team lead for the Stantec Calgary geotechnical engineering group and is a geotechnical engineer with over 12 years of experience. He has a well-balanced skill set comprising project coordination, people management and development, construction supervision, and technical knowledge. Daniel has been involved with projects varying in scope and size, working for numerous clients in industries including municipal and commercial infrastructure, transportation, energy, insurance, and power transmission and distribution. His engineering analysis and reporting experience includes slope stability, earthworks construction recommendations, settlement, and shallow and deep foundations. Daniel gained expertise in soil and concrete assessment and evaluation while starting his career in the Stantec geotechnical and materials lab and has geotechnical field experience completing earthworks construction and concrete inspection, helicopter mobilized drilling investigations, detailed subsurface logging, hydraulic testing, and subsurface instrumentation installations.
