About Daniel Meeks

Daniel is a Tennessee native turned LA transplant. He flirted briefly with the idea of New York, but after a Chicago winter froze his beard solid, he wisely chose a sunnier path. Originally trained in music before discovering acting was the true calling, Daniel earned his M.F.A. in Acting from Indiana University, where he also taught Acting and Voice & Speech. Along the way, he studied improv at The Second City, voicework with Patsy Rodenburg, dialects with Paul Meier, and voiceover at Voicetrax with talents like Samantha Paris, Peter Coyote, and Dave Fennoy. After years on stage (and a brief on-camera adventure), Daniel now brings stories to life as a voice actor—especially in the world of animation and voiceover. But performance isn’t his only stage. When not behind the mic, Daniel works as a Payroll Accountant for film and television, with experience on productions for Artist's Equity (Netflix, Amazon), Searchlight, NBCUniversal, and Lionsgate. He’s managed high-volume payroll cycles, ensured compliance with over 30 collective bargaining agreements (including ATL-DGA, and SAG-AFTRA), and served as a trusted partner for producers navigating contracts, budgets, and labor rules. He thrives at the intersection of creativity and structure—helping artists and productions do their best work by making sure the numbers add up.
