About Daniel Milner

I am Assistant Professor of Management at Oklahoma State University's Spears School of Business. My general teaching interests include strategic management, leadership, and organizational behavior (undergraduate); power and organizational politics, and organizational change (MBA); and organization theory and qualitative methods (PhD). In my teaching practice, I vary in “conscious competence” in incorporating equity and inclusion. My research uses organization theories to study social problems, mostly applying qualitative or mixed methods to non-firm forms of organizing. Current research interests include -microsociology (a.k.a. sociological social psychology)-mixed methods (integrating qualitative methodologies with others)-interaction (of small groups, and group relations)-language (as social construction process)-creative workers (design thinkers, artists). I am Treasurer of the Management Faculty of Color Association.
