About Daniel Mondaca

I am a passionate, experienced, and accomplished educator who would like to further enrich his career as a teacher and coach. I believe we need to guide students in becoming confident, well-rounded individuals that will contribute to society in a positive manner. Allowing young individuals the opportunity to develop their academic and athletic leadership skills, is something that I admire and a philosophy that has guided me throughout my career. I am a strong advocate of guiding students rather than teaching them. Every student has unique skills waiting to be released and refined and as educators we must give them every opportunity to do so. As a classroom teacher, chess instructor, and athletic coach, I spend my classes allowing children the time to discover their potential through hands on experiences. Setting high standards and helping students understand that life is about hard work, a positive mindset, and learning from our mistakes, has helped me empower many students during my years as an educator. In this manner, not only will children develop their skills and creativity, they will increase their self-esteem and desire to continue to learn. I have applied this philosophy in all aspects of my teaching and coaching. As a facilitator, my goal is to encourage students and athletes to discover and develop their creativity and self-esteem in every in every aspect of their learning.
