About Daniel Ostenso

Mr. Ostenso is the founder and President of GETSET-GO, nfp. GETSET-GO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women & girls in developing countries, by providing access to high quality education, mentorship and scholarships. He is currently focused on building Women's Libraries in Cambodia, with an emphasis on serving women who were denied basic education as girls, are thus trapped into life-long slavery - and whom now are being ignored or grossly under-served by the international aid sector. Mr. Ostenso holds a Master’s Degree in Education, with specialization in Educational Leadership and Educational Technology (with emphasis in "Serious Games"). He received management training at the Walt Disney Company’s “Managing for Creativity and Innovation” program and holds certification in 3D Modeling, Lighting and Animation for Games from Northwestern University. He has more than a decade of Interactive Media Design experience, across several industries, pioneering initiatives in online promotions, e-commerce, and e-learning for a wide range of companies and organizations. Prior to dedicating himself fully to education, Mr. Ostenso served in Vice-President and Director level positions for companies including Bank One, BBDS and Easter Seals. As time permits, he also teaches Computer Game Design classes for kids (elementary-middle school) through the Center for Gifted in Chicago. Since 2001, Mr. Ostenso has served as speaker and moderator at interactive media conferences including Web Builder / Web Design World, Midwest Game Developer's Conference, Online Game Developer's Conference (OGDC) and ION '08. He is a member of the IGDA Credits and Standards Committee and Education SIG.
