As a dedicated educator with experience as an Ethnic Studies Teacher, I am driven by a deep commitment to fostering cultural understanding, promoting diversity, and empowering students to become critical thinkers and agents of positive change.In my role as a Founding Ethnic Studies Teacher, I have had the privilege of developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that engages students in critical discussions on race, ethnicity, and social justice issues. Through thought-provoking lessons and inclusive classroom environments, I strive to create spaces where students can explore and appreciate diverse perspectives, nurture empathy and cultural competence.My teaching philosophy revolves around creating an inclusive and student-centered learning environment, where every student feels valued, heard, and inspired. I believe in promoting critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and experiential approaches that encourage students to connect historical events to their own lives and the world around them. By fostering a safe and supportive space for open dialogue, I aim to empower students to challenge assumptions, develop empathy, and actively participate in shaping a more equitable society.
