Dan currently supports the State of Montana Remote Office and Workspace Study (ROWS) as a project manager for the planning and execution of capital construction projects and move management. Prior to working with the State of Montana, Dan was aligned to the GPS Risk and Delivery Excellence team and provided internal coaching support to engagement teams on the topics of estimation tools, estimation methods, and Agile project management approaches. Dan started his career at Deloitte aligned to the GPS Real Estate group as a construction project manager and a real property portfolio manager for a Federal facilities management division. Dan guided his clients through project development and project delivery, provided oversight of a 25+ capital project portfolio with an estimated $25+ million value across five unique geographical regions, and helped manage the 750+ leases in the agency's real property inventory. Prior to Deloitte, Dan worked as a trade estimator for Clark Civil and as a Contracts Specialist in the Contracts Management Group for Clark Construction. Estimate cycles in Clark Civil included analysis of contract drawings, specifications, and owner requirements, subcontractor outreach, solicitation, and engagement, and the comprehensive review, synthesis, and evaluation of trade-specific estimates. The Contracts Management Group supported all divisions and subsidiaries of Clark Construction and was responsible for project set-up, budget entries and active budget management on the JDE software platform, subcontract review and quality control, and vendor management. Dan values any opportunity to teach, train, mentor, and recruit more junior practitioners to Deloitte, serves as a member of the University of Maryland recruiting team, and coaches the bi-annual UMD Case Competition. Dan also supports Deloitte's Greater Washington Area Social Impact team as the editor of the Social Impact team's monthly newsletter, and Dan regularly leads or supports Deloitte's philanthropic initiatives in the DC-MD-VA area.
