About Daniel Palmer

I am a Neurobehavioural Specialist leading the development of several scientific software projects. I manage several projects including an open-access data repository, several data analysis packages, and human cognitive testing software. I am passionate about developing better scientific tools to accelerate pre-clinical research. I have over a decade of experience as a neuroscientist, engaging in primary research projects. Through this time, I have gained competency in project management, developing funding applications, and preparing scientific reports for a variety of stakeholders. My strength as a researcher is my ability to recognize the processes and resources necessary to achieve meaningful impact. I believe that through effective project management, leadership, and strategic vision a project can be made more successful and generate higher quality outputs. In order to better serve my colleagues and stakeholders, I am enrolled in the Research Management and Coordination program through Mohawk College. This program is providing me additional insights and skill development that will allow me to be a better facilitator of robust research.
