I am currently working at the University of Southampton as a learning technologist helping academics get the best out of the Virtual Learning Environment. I’m an educator and leader with over 20 years experience, driven by a deep passion for learning and how technology can elevate the way we teach and grow. ‍I am currently a volunteer learning designer with Rumie (see volunteer profile).🧑‍ I recently completed a certified professional diploma in Digital Learning Design (distiction level), focussing on all aspects of the ADDIE process and built prototypes in Articulate Rise and Storyline (see Projects).Skills and Attributes: Curriculum & Learning Design: I’m highly skilled in analysing learning needs, designing effective programs, and aligning learner outcomes with SMART targets and KPIs.🧠 Pedagogical Expertise: I bring a strong grasp of educational theory—including behaviourism, constructivism, cognitivism, cognitive load theory, social learning, and Bloom’s Taxonomy—ensuring a research-backed approach to learning design.🤝 Stakeholder Collaboration: I’m a natural communicator and relationship-builder who thrives when bringing together diverse voices to co-create solutions and solve problems. eLearning & Instructional Design: Proficient in ADDIE, Gagné’s Nine Events, Mayer’s Multimedia Principles and CRAP design.
