About Daniel Pierce

I am looking for new opportunities as a Network/System Administrator. I have earned the CCNA in Routing and Switching as of September 3, 2019. I plan to go for the CCNP in Route/Switch, Wireless Design, and SD-WAN Solutions once I complete my CCNA. I am also studying Python 2.7 & 3.6 in Github, and learning about XML, JASON, YANG formatting. I am an experienced Desktop Support engineer/technician. I have worked in the medical IT support roles for 9 years. I complete work using the ticketing system Service Now and work directly with the end users to resolve their issues. I have supported several enterprise level network closet deployments, updates, an 800 device replacement to thin client system, and a device refresh project moving from WIN 7 to WIN10. In this role I worked with AD administration, print server, EPIC medical records, and Solarwinds. I have experience on Cisco 2800, 2900, 3800, 4500 series routers; 2960, 3500, 3750, 3800, 9200, 9300 series catalyst switches; NXOS on 5k, 93100 and 9k series Nexus; Dell Poweredge 210i, 320, 420, 610, 720, 820; Windows XP, 7, 10, and 11; Experience on Windows 2008, 2012, 2019 server; Solarwind's Router & Switch manager and IP manager; Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA Center, Meraki Console; VMWare Airwatch. As I've developed more skills I learned I love the world of virtualization and have setup a home lab using a Dell Poweredge r320 and a Poweredge r720 using VMware ESXi. I also have a networking lab using a Cisco 3845 with switch modules and a Catalyst 2960. I even used the Cisco 3845 as my home's router connection to the ISP modem for about a year. Then I discovered PFSense which has a much broader use capability for a free to use routing & firewall software. I have helped my family's business setup a secured network and firewall using a Cisco 2845 router and PFsense as the firewall installed on a Poweredge 210i.
