About Daniel Plamann

I’m a Senior iOS Engineer at the Bonial mobile team for 10 years. I’m entrusted with developing and maintaining a high quality market leading mobile app in Germany and France. I’m highly skilled in building modern and smoothly performing user interfaces with UIKit. Since I’m not the greatest fan of Xcode’s Interface Builder, writing business logic and designing software architecture is my greater pleasure. Our code base exists since 2008, meaning it requires constant effort to keep all parts up to date. Since I’ve started developing for iPhone OS in the same year 2008 I’ve learned to write Objective-C code with manual reference counting. I like Swift so much more. I prefer blackbox testing over unit testing. We are a data-driven company, so working with analytics and tracking is my daily routine, and I’ve even survived making our products compliant with the European privacy protection laws (GDRP). I’ve worked in an English speaking environment for 10 years and have had plenty of international team-mates from many different countries (including Brazil, Egypt, France, India, Indonesia, Poland, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, US, Russia).
