Currently, I am successfully managing eight high-risk services, where I have developed specialized expertise in addressing complex issues such as substance misuse, mental health challenges, and high rates of violence and aggression. My focus has been on facilitating recovery and reformation for service users to help them live meaningful lives after referral. In my current role, I have been responsible for working closely with commissioners to fulfill key performance indicators (KPIs) and contractual agreements. I have developed a solid understanding of the importance of meeting these targets while ensuring the highest standards of service provision. Through effective collaboration with commissioners, I have successfully maintained positive relationships, fulfilled contractual obligations, and achieved desired outcomes. Furthermore, I have a great understanding of safeguarding practices and their critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of service users. I have actively implemented safeguarding policies and procedures within my teams, promoting a culture of vigilance and accountability. This has enabled us to create an environment where service users are protected from harm, and their rights and dignity are upheld. My leadership journey began within a strict prison system, where I served as a Custodial Operations Manager. During this time, I consistently achieved timed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensured adherence to rigorous regimes on a daily basis. This experience instilled in me a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a relentless commitment to achieving operational excellence. Subsequently, I extended my leadership role to become a transformation specialist, assisting struggling services with staff performance and challenging service users. Through a unique blend of firm prison-like attitude and heartfelt empathy, I successfully bridged the gap between humanity and performance. This approach not only earned the trust and respect of my colleagues and staff but also built strong relationships with commissioners and stakeholders.
