About Daniel Priest
I was born and raised in Barrie, Ontario and attended the University of Guelph for Food & Agriculture Business and graduated in 2020, I took an additional year of university classes at the University of Guelph to get the relevant accounting classes required for the CPA. I have worked both in private accounting and public accounting since completing my post secondary education in 2021. Currently I am working as a senior public accountant handling assurance engagements with MNP in Cambridge, Ontario. I am working on my own and with other staff members to primarily complete reviews and compilations, and have worked on audits of NPO and private entities. I work with every aspect of the engagements from the planning to general procedures and T2 Tax returns. I passed my CFE examination in September 2024 and am currently wrapping up my necessary documents to obtain my CPA designation. Previously I had worked in private accounting with Georgian Paving handling day to day bookkeeping and job tracking, as well as implemented new systems to increase efficiency with those procedures.
