About Daniel Ray Kelley
Daniel Kelley is a native of Memphis, TN. and North Mississippi. He has studied piano since the age of five. Mr. Kelley’s first two years of college were spent at NWCC (Northwest Community College). Later, he transferred to Delta State University. Mr. Kelley obtained his Bachelor of Music Education in May of 2010 from Delta State University, as well as a Certificate in Church Music Leadership from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, obtained in 2004. Daniel Kelley is an accomplished Pianist-Organist-Vocalist. He has 23 years of piano as well as 18 years of singing experience. He has been the Organist/Accompanist for St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Clarksdale, MS, as well as the organist for First Baptist Church in Greenville for weekly televised services, and pianist for First Baptist Church of Leland and Crenshaw Baptist Church. Mr. Kelley is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, NAfME: The National Association for Music Education, and (ACDA) American Choral Director Association. He has traveled as far as England in May of 2006 to perform with the Delta State Choirs. Mr. Kelley began teaching private piano and voice in March of 2006. He has taught lessons for beginners, or those with moderate musical knowledge. Mr. Kelley taught private music lessons, combined with being an active pianist, and organist. He has also taught choir in the middle and high school levels on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Mr. Kelley’s philosophy is this: “I like to be a coach, one who is able to direct, instruct, inspire and motivate each individual by setting realistic and attainable goals and objectives. It is my desire to grow with individuals I come into contact with and help them to express their talents, to obtain a positive quality of life.” Since moving back to North Mississippi in 2012, Mr. Kelley has worked as Deputy City Clerk for the City of Southaven and is a member of the Mississippi Municipal Clerks association
