About Daniel Renowden

As a proud British Army veteran, I have developed strong skills in leadership, discipline and professionalism. Throughout my career, I had the opportunity to deploy on combat operations and exercises around the world, working with diverse personalities and cultures, embracing differences and collaborative working.After transitioning into civilian life, I accepted a role as part of the welfare team at Poppyscotland. In this role, I worked closely with the marketing department on developing social media content and welfare communications, in addition to design and infographics using Adobe Creative Cloud applications. My other responsibilities included supporting the delivery of our welfare provision throughout Scotland, co-lead on our residential employability course, draft quarterly and annual reports reflecting welfare activity data, and provide admin support to Officer's Association Scotland and other grant giving organisations.Now, employed as an Armed Forces Engagement Officer for the Royal British Legion, myself alongside a small team, are responsible for developing strategies to facilitate delivering the RBL message to the serving military community to genuinely increase awareness. I bring with me strong communication and organisational skills, as well as experience in engaging with different audiences. I am eager to continue my service to the Armed Forces by helping the serving community understand of the important work done by the Royal British Legion and Poppyscotland.I am also a Member Board of Trustees for the Commonwealth Veterans and Families Support Group, who provide support to the British Armed Forces Commonwealth communities with family immigration and welfare needs.
