About Daniel Richter

My career in the shipping industry began with my apprenticeship as a ship's mechanic in 2002. I gained a lot of experience on deck and in the engine area, which was to be an enrichment for my further career. After I finished my apprenticeship, I sailed as an AB for another 5 years before I started my studies to become a nautical officer. At the end of 2012, I embarked again as a 3rd officer. Since then I went through all positions up to Staff Captain in 2017. During the last 20 years I have sailed on several ship classes of AIDACruises. Starting on the ARosablu, a former Princess Cruises ship, to the Cara class, Sphinx class and finally to the Helios XL class. Since February 2022 I am the Second in Command of our 2nd Helios XL class, the AIDAcosma. Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. It is not where you start but how high you aim that matters for success. And I aim for more. Result oriented, focused, self-motived with more than 20 Years of experience in cruise industry.
