About Daniel Romeike

Dealing with people as well as with numbers and achieving goals in a team gives me a lot of pleasure. I would like to make a difference and actively participate in the company's success. I enjoy promoting myself and my employees, motivating them and developing them further. It is important for me to know each individual employee and to respond to his individual needs. I like to solve conflicts and possible problems. Also, I want to bring energy and life into monotonous employments. As a leader, I would always like to set a good example and embody best the "IKEA spirit". As Ingvar Kamprad said:"Indecisiveness generates more statistics, more studies, more committees, more bureaucracy. Bureaucracy complicates and paralyses." I like taking responsibility and make conscious decisions. I know that making quick decisions can also make mistakes that I can learn from and how Ingvar said," Only while sleeping one makes no mistakes.[.] The fear of making mistakes is the root of bureaucracy and the enemy of development." During my studies, I came to know a lot of background and details of supply chain management, which give me the opportunity to understand in detail how important and profitable IKEA's Omnichannel retail approach is. I am very proud to be a part of such an amazing company with passionate people. That's why I enjoy working in such a future-oriented company. My biggest motivation is always to get to know new things and share them with my colleagues. I just enjoy the "line different".
