About Daniel Sanders

As a little kid we watched movies in our house, we always had stacks and stacks of them. We'd rewatch the same movies over and over again continually catching new and different key parts of the movies that we had misses in previous times watching. ​ My mother also spent a lot of time, editing videos for wedding and extra curricular activity videos and photos into a visual stories connected to music that really me helped see that there was an art to video editing. ​ My journey to becoming a filmmaker and specifically an editor wasn't so obvious. I started learning the skills out of neccessity to assist in the productions my spouse was creating. After a few projects of fumbling my way through the software and process, I found a passiion for visual effects and video editing. I decided that this was something I wanted to do every day of my life. ​ I researched and enrolled in the Los Angeles Film School's Bachelors Degree program in Digital Film Making. This experience further expanded my knowledge and understanding of what being a filmmaker means and made me love the editing process even more, solidifying my desire to become a Video Editor. ​ In 2021 I graduaed Suma Cum Laude among my peers at Los Angeles Film School. Shortly after, I have had the opportunity to work with local to Kansas City companies and artists to bring their content together. Artists like Elisabeth Wykert, Jackpot Flexx, VaccinePods and more. Additionally I have had the opportunity to edit videos for Apple Support - Digital. ​ The opportunity to work with the creative teams at Apple Inc has truely prepared me for working as a video editor for studios, corperations, and more. ​ I intend on continuing to hone my craft and joining teams around the world as a video editor. I look forward to bringing my knowledge and experience to your productions and bring your visions to life and the big screen.
