About Daniel Schweon

As Manager of Business Affairs at NBCUniversal, I spearhead deal data leveraging across multiple studios and platforms. I analyze and communicate deal information for thousands of television projects from development to production, liaising with creative, production, finance, and legal affairs departments to assess and strategize deal negotiation. I also perform detailed review of all deals flowing through the enterprise, including license and distribution agreements, term, first-look, and co-production deals, as well as all above-the-line talent deals, such as those with producers, writers, performers, and directors. Before joining NBCUniversal, I was an Analyst in the Legal Department at Ovid Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focused on rare neurological disorders. There, I conducted comprehensive analysis of agreements, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and risk mitigation. I collaborated across multiple departments to drive corporate development projects that enhanced overall business efficiency. I also managed the creation and distribution of corporate materials to the board of directors and senior executives. Prior to that, I was a Paralegal at O'Melveny & Myers LLP, where I worked directly with partners on critical projects across multiple litigation and corporate matters, drafting briefs, performing thorough research and document review, managing data rooms, compiling citations, building document and data organization systems, and assisting with federal trials and commercial arbitrations. I have a BA in International Affairs and Economics from The George Washington University. I have strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, and a passion for media, finance and government relations with an emphasis on strategy and planning.
