About Daniel Sexton

Dan has over ten years of professional experience leading a variety of attest engagements, most recently in ESG assurance, but also including financial statement audits, agreed upon procedures and other attestations for companies in the United States, New Zealand, and abroad. In 2020 Dan completed a three-year secondment to the Auckland, New Zealand PwC office where he worked on some of New Zealand’s largest flagship businesses. He is focused on helping clients evaluate current and future state ESG disclosures and reporting environments, with recommendations aimed at navigating existing and proposed ESG regulations. Prior to ESG assurance, he has spent meaningful time in the law firm and professional services industry, serving multinational companies. Dan has significant experience with complex accounting matters, including business combinations, new standard adoption, intangibles, and consolidations. Dan also has extensive experience with corporate governance and financial reporting-related matters. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) and Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Stonehill. He is a licensed CPA in Massachusetts and a member of both the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Outside of work, Dan looks to spend time sailing, skiing, or spending quality time with family and friends. He looks to volunteer in his local communities and is particularly passionate about the role of financial literacy in our schools and curriculums.
