About Daniel Shen

Hi - I'm Daniel! In 2019, I started studying a Bachelor of Film and TV from Swinburne University, while also working as an entertainment lighting technician and sports videographer. I gained invaluable technical skills in both areas, and developed a keen eye for visual storytelling. In 2022, After the impact of COVID-19, I made it a priority to reconnect with the local community, stepping into the role of 2IC at Camp Australia’s service at Serpell Primary School. In this position, I helped run school holiday programs and out-of-school hours care, fostering a positive environment for children and their families. Currently, I’m a casual keyholder at Ted’s Cameras, where I bring my passion for photography and filmmaking to assist customers in choosing the right equipment for their creative needs. Outside my work in camera sales, I continue to pursue my passion for filmmaking as a freelance filmmaker, taking on a variety of creative projects that I find rewarding and that continually push my limits as a creative. Ultimately, I thrive on challenges and love combining my technical expertise, creativity, and leadership skills to produce meaningful work.
