About Daniel Silberman

Dan Silberman started his musical journey at the age of ten when he picked up his first instrument, the double bass. His formal training includes three classical performance degrees from several of the world’s most prestigious conservatories, including an MA from the Royal Academy of Music (London), a BA from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and a diploma from the Interlochen Arts Academy. Besides playing classical music, he has always loved to play music of other genres in his “spare time” - which has afforded him the opportunity to work and perform with Grammy award-winning and nominated artists and groups in some of the most popular venues throughout the world. Dan is also a prolific composer and arranger. His music has been featured on Chicago's classical radio station WFMT, and musicians from the Chicago Symphony and other major orchestras throughout the world have performed his compositions and arrangements. In 2012, Dan departed from his career in classical performance to start up his own studio and production company. His meticulous attention to detail, his extensive musical training, and his insistence on the highest-quality and finest-sounding new and vintage equipment all set him apart from most producers/engineers in today’s digital age of music recording and producing. The eclectic nature of his musical preferences and experiences renders him uniquely qualified in and for any and all types of musical genres including classical, rock, blues, jazz, pop, gospel - and just about any others you might think of. He is open-minded and flexible, curious, honest, and always on top of the latest trends, techniques, and styles of his industry. Most importantly, though, he loves to share with as many people as possible the joy that creativity and music can provide.
