About Daniel Simon

I’m a Business Management Graduate with the skills and drive to make his mark in the business world. I studied at Grafton College Dublin, graduating in 2013 and since then have gained practical workplace skills in busy environments including customer focus, time management, problem solving and liaising between different departments. I have enjoyed leading a small team and I’m motivated by seeing everyone succeed, for the good of the business overall and the individuals concerned. As a sports fan and player I am also motivated by healthy competition! In my last two roles I have earned a high level of trust. I handle large amounts of cash, make safe deposits and close up the premises. I deal with a wide range of situations every day with demanding customers and will take tough decisions as necessary, but equally I know when to refer to a more senior manager. I am an excellent communicator and can work with all types of clients and colleagues effectively, and also on my own without supervision. On the academic side, as well as my certificate and degree courses I was fortunate to attend a training programme in Poland through Youth Bank, an organisation which encourages and facilitates young people getting involved in community activities. This was a fantastic experience for me with learning I will take throughout my life. I also travelled to Bosnia as part of a football squad to take part in a tournament organised by Sports Against Racism Ireland, another great chance to meet new people and build up skills and confidence.
