About Daniel Smeu

Wrote this back in 2022 before landing my first job—found it kind of cool, a little cringe, but decided to leave it as-is for the memories.] I am currently studying at The Faculty of Automatic Control and Compute Science within UPB. My main interests are Cyber Security, Software Engineering & Artificial Intelligence, passions that I have developed during my first two years of university and the extracurricular courses, hackathons, CTFs & Unbreakable Romania Competition I have attended. The interaction with the above had a big impact in my development, since I have learned how to protect my websites and systems, to create simple backdoors for windows, linux and android, and to use tools like: Metasploit, nmap, nikto, Nessus, beef-xss, Ghidra, Burp, sqlmap, Wireshark. I also managed to solve a lot of easy-medium Forensics, Web, Network, Pwn, OSINT CTFs. My biggest passion is represented by Cyber Security, which is the subject that helped me improve my analytical skills, creative thinking and problem solving skills. I strongly believe that Cyber Security is the perfect way to combine both programming and everyday devices.
