About Daniel Sousa

With over five years of experience in teaching and tutoring Business, Accounting and Economics, I am currently a Business Teacher at DSC International School, a leading international school in Hong Kong. I have experience teaching Ontario Secondary School Diploma, IBDP Business Management and MYP Individuals and Societies, GCSE and IGCSE as well as BTEC and International A Level Business and Economics to students from diverse cultural backgrounds, I have served as a CAS Advisor and a Extended Essay Advisor in my previous school. I have also served in a capacity as a Homeroom Teacher (Grade 6, 7 and 11), where I guide and support students in their personal and academic development. I have completed various Professional Development including: Child Protection, IB Business Management Category 1 and Category 3 training, and I am proficient in different international curriculums and exams. I hold a PGCE in Business Education with QTS from University College London, Institute of Education, and a BA Hons in Business Studies from University of Kent, where I completed a one-year internship at BDO Hong Kong. I have also studied Chinese at Beijing Language and Culture University, and I am passionate about yoga and wellness, having completed multiple yoga teacher trainings and workshops. I also have professional work experience working for over three years at a leading accounting company in Hong Kong focusing on Risk Advisory and ESG Reporting Services serving clients in Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Singapore and China. I use my professional work experience in my lessons to give a real world experience to my lessons and students. My mission is to inspire and empower my students to become lifelong learners and global citizens, who can apply their knowledge and skills to real-world situations and challenges.
