About Daniel Spencer

I have broad experience in vocational regulation and litigation. In 2022, I moved to MDA National as a Medico-legal Adviser. In February 2024, I transitioned into a Case Manager (Solicitor) role. Previously, I was a solicitor at Panetta McGrath practising in vocational regulation and medical defence. Before that, I was a Legal Advisor at the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency for 8 years, where I also acted as a Senior Legal Adviser and Director, Notifications (WA) and worked as an investigator. I am admitted as a solicitor in Western Australia. Prior to moving in-house, I practised Mining, Energy and Resources Law at Johnson Winter & Slattery Lawyers and Freehills. I also completed a secondment at Woodside while working at Freehills. Personally, I have a strong interest in AFL football coaching. In 2023 and 2024, I coached Wickepin Football Club in the Upper Great Southern Football League, finishing runner-up in 2024. In 2017, I coached Trinity-Aquinas to a premiership in the A Grade Amateurs in Perth followed by a finals appearance in 2018. Long before that, I was Head Coach of Swan Districts Football Club Colts in 2012 and 2013.
