About Daniel Stark
I'm a rising senior studying journalism and political science at the University of Connecticut with the intention to pursue a career in journalism after college. I have taken courses in topics including newswriting, journalism ethics, environmental journalism, American politics, and election administration. I am passionate about small publications serving local communities and aspire to work at a small, local paper after graduation. At UConn, I am currently employed as the Life Editor for The Daily Campus, where I oversee the Life section of UConn's student-run newspaper, as well as writing consistently about the Connecticut DIY music scene. I also work as a Staff Writer for Nutmeg Publishing and host a radio show on WHUS Radio. This summer, I will be returning to The Express News Group, which publishes The Southampton Press and other publications on the East End of Long Island, as an Editorial Intern for the second consecutive year.
