About Daniel Steinberg

I am a shareholder at Weintraub Tobin and lead the Construction practice. My practice focuses on matters related to construction and real property litigation. I represent landlords, developers, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals in all matters regarding contract negotiations and formation, construction defect issues, contract disputes, and mechanics’ liens. Having "swung a hammer" myself for ten years before law school, I have first-hand experience with construction industry issues. I work diligently to help my clients avoid risks leading to litigation. From lease disputes, owner and contract protective measures to ADA matters, I believe in protecting clients at all stages of a project. I have given numerous presentations on mechanics’ lien law and owner protective measures to industry associations and Lorman’s Educational Seminars. I have also served as a Pro Tem Judge for the El Dorado County Superior Court. Thanks to my clients and my peers I have received much recognition during my legal career including being named to Sacramento’s Super Lawyers Top 25 Attorneys and Northern California’s Super Lawyers Top 100 Attorneys lists. I have an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale Hubbell®, and am recognized by Best Lawyer®s in America.
