About Daniel Stewart

beginning in the Fall of 2010, I began an internship at the University at Oneonta in the Alden Room digitizing the college's mass collection of photos in regards to the town of Oneonta, NY. It was there that i developed a team work mentality, along with knowing the importance of effective communication. post graduation, from the Summer of 2012 to the Summer of 2014, I began an extensive internship at the Tioga County Historical Society. it was here that I was introduced to the Archival system, PastPerfect 5. I began acquiring metadata for the software and inputted information into the system to have them accessible to the public. from there, I began my Graduate studies in the library and information studies program at the University at Buffalo. it was here that I completed first hand projects that allowed me to hone my abilities in the field of archives and librarianship. during my studies, I worked at the library annex located off campus and familiarized myself with library software to help further my knowledge and experiences. after completing my masters, I decided to gain additional experiences in a seperate field, but have gained similar abilities. I began a full time job at Wegmans, where I have developed a skill set in communication, organization, teamwork, product knowledge, management and customer service. with my previous and current experiences, I hope to continue to develop my skillset to obtain a position in either the archive or library field.
