About Daniel Stringer

I am a highly motivated person who is committed to having a career in the media industry. I have strong writing and editing skills and enjoy the opportunity to be able to tell a story. I graduated from Macleay College in 2015 with a Bachelor of Journalism. During my time at Macleay I was heavily involved with the online news site, holding the positions of Melbourne news writer, social media contributor, world news writer and Melbourne news editor. Upon graduating I was offered a reporting position at the Warrego Watchman, which is an independent newspaper in South West Queensland. My role as the only reporter for the paper is to source and develop at least 15 stories a week. I cover community events, council, sport, community interest and more. I am also required to take all my own photographs. Upon leaving the Warrego Watchman I gained employment as a journalist with the Barrier Daily Truth, a six day a week publication in Broken Hill. During my 15 months in this position I covered everything from community events, sport, politics at all levels and genera; news. After 15 months I decided to move to a bigger market, thus I decided to accept a role with NewsCorps local publication North Shore Times.
