Background
About Daniel Studnicky
Daniel Studnicky is a consultant to philanthropists and non-profit organizations, and a contractor to government agencies. His clients benefit from his 35 years of leadership in the corporate and non-profit sectors as CEO of a healthcare foundation, V.P. of a large community foundation, and V.P. & Senior Philanthropic Advisor of a top-four wealth management and trust company. He has been a fundraiser, grantmaker, trust officer, investment advisor, and corporate trustee of charitable trusts, private and public foundations, scholarships, and endowments worth several hundred million dollars. Daniel specializes in start-up operations; market expansion and penetration; program management and compliance; and executive and staff coaching. He founded Philanthropy Dynamics, LLC in 2014 to bring his unique experience bridging non-profit sector needs with corporate best practices to help clients optimize their mission effectiveness. Clients include established and emerging philanthropic individuals and families; national, regional, and local nonprofits; national corporate entities working in the philanthropic sector; and U.S. government agencies. At the on-set of COVID, Daniel became a full-time contractor at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Women’s Business Ownership (OWBO) helping manage a $50M CARES Act program supporting women-owned small businesses with disaster relief, then the Office of Entrepreneurial Development (OED), helping implement a $200M American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant. As Program and Grant Manager, he guides universities, chambers of commerce, and non-profits on financial and program compliance and process improvement. His team received the highest rating available for contractors to the Federal government (CPARS EXCEPTIONAL) each year and overall at the conclusion of the OWBO contract. Previously, he was a sub-contractor to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) reviewing community redevelopment grants and, separately, performing field work for HUD Community Development Block Grants (CDBG). A graduate of Dartmouth College, Daniel studied System Dynamics under Dr. Donella Meadows (Limits to Growth, Thinking in Systems). Both pre- and post-grad, he performed research at the Atlantic Institute for International Affairs in Paris, France (published) and, for a United Nations study, at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) in Stockholm, Sweden. He has advanced diplomas from the ABA’s National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University and a CFRE accreditation.
