About Daniel T. Espy

Award-winning producer and New Jersey native Dan Espy has documented countless entertainment adventures during his 40-year career in the business. Working with multiple major television studios, renowned musical talents, and in some of the largest concert arenas, he has partnered in creating dynamic entertainment experiences for talk shows, television series, commercials, videos, concerts, news, celebrity interviews, and documentary films. Leveraging a vast repertoire of capabilities, he has created, produced, directed, and edited all of his documentaries. Dan’s foray into television production began in 1976, when he acted as the Associate Producer for a one-hour daily talk show. Throughout his career, Dan has specialized in both the technical and production aspects of television, with major studio clients that have included MTV, VH1, ABC, CBS, ESPN, PBS, WNET, and Tristar. In 1997, he forged a long-term client partnership with NBC Universal, working on several well-known talk shows including the Maury, Jerry Springer, and Steve Wilkos shows. Dan also spent nearly 20 years collaborating with Richard Nader Entertainment, getting to experience Rock and Roll from a rarely seen perspective. He managed hundreds of concerts in venues such as Madison Square Garden, The Meadowlands, Carnegie Hall, The Grand Opera House, London’s Wembley Arena, and Nassau Coliseum, where he co-produced and staged what is believed to be the largest multi-act Rock and Roll show in history, with 56 acts over a 6-hour stretch. Dan has worked with talents that include Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Dion, Connie Francis, Engelbert Humperdinck, Little Richard, Charlie Daniels, and Steve Tyrell. Some of Dan’s most beloved and intricate work includes producing several nostalgia-based documentaries. Over his career, he has won an impressive nine festival awards as a documentary producer.
