About Daniel Timotijevic

Graduated from the engineering school of Mines de Douai, mechanical engineering and entrepreneurial option, I carried out two end-of-study projects which forged the start of my professional career. The first within the company I had created in 1997 at the same time as my studies, the second within the EADS company. Noted for my qualities by Dassault-Systèmes, I started working life with a job as a computer-aided engineering (CAE) pilot for the German company EISENMANN. I continued to manage and develop the main technical electronic maintenance station in France, SHARP, JVC and PANASONIC approved. Very satisfied with these first experiences, I then discovered the different professions offered within the regional directorates of industry, research and the environment (DRIRE). I therefore joined the administration in 2007, as an accidental technological risk inspector, in charge of the high-threshold SEVESO establishments of the Côte d'Or department, and the implementation of their technological risk prevention plan ( PPRT). I have found a growing interest in it, and beliefs stronger every day, on the usefulness of serving for the safety of our fellow citizens. Indeed, the missions carried out are noble, useful, and indispensable. In all consistency, the course of my professional life has voluntarily continued with a similar function in Lower Normandy. I thus spent five years inspecting establishments presenting the greatest industrial risks in the region, examining files with major issues, in particular by drawing up a number of PPRTs, inducing necessarily relevant and proportionate decisions, while having a constructive approach with all the stakeholders met. In 2015, I finally joined ASN, as a logical continuation of my experience acquired in industrial risks. I became a nuclear safety inspector, in charge of the high activity of the Orano Cycle establishment (formerly AREVA) in La Hague. Since taking office, the issues I deal with on a daily basis allow me to regularly tackle a variety of subjects of a complex technical nature.
