About Daniel Tolmie

Embracing opportunities is a mindset that has allowed me to participate in diverse projects and experiences. From travelling to Colombia with the Young Enterprise Scheme to exploring the world of combat sports in New Zealand through documentary filmmaking, and building electric bikes from recycled laptop batteries - my journey has been exciting so far! My creativity took me towards studying Creative Technology at AUT. a decision that has nurtured my abilities and paved the way for many innovative projects. These include producing a podcast featuring successful New Zealanders and creating a compelling documentary about brain injuries in contact sports. Currently, I work as the Special Project Lead at Medifab, After previously looking after our largest operational site I now more closely focus on improvement projects across the business. Additionally, my journey has led me to the intersection of my love for combat sports and technology, resulting in the creation of the AI Fight Predictor. This innovative AI model predicts fight outcomes with remarkable accuracy and is redefining how fans engage with combat sports. As we continually refine our tool and expand our community, I am thrilled to spearhead this transformative project.
