About Daniel Tong

I am currently an MIT Junior majoring in Materials Sciences & Engineering with a double minor in Polymers & Soft Matter and Environment & Sustainability. My motivations revolve around the research and development that allow for the integration of green technologies that can replace unsustainable practices or remedy the environmental damages of current and past technologies. In this past summer, I have been a part of Station1's 2022 Frontiers Fellowship, undergoing a curriculum to help build foundations in socially-directed science and technology. Through Station1, I had also been working under WattTime, an environmental tech nonprofit, to perform data analytics in the interest of increasing accessibility to renewable energy. I have multiple research experiences, having done much work with processing and understanding data as well as its collection in a wet lab. I am passionate to help the environment to leave future generations in a better situation than I entered into and to mitigate environmental health risk disparities.
