About Daniel Tutor

Dreamer, Maker, Do-er. Studied industrial design, graphic design, ceramics, and visual art at Pratt Institute, Bennington College, and the University of Southern Maine. I started my first business at the age of 9, selling toys and vegetables at a roadside stand outside my parents house. I have a strong aesthetic sense and passion for design and creative problem solving. I love new ideas - I often design products, create branding, build websites, and write businesses plans as an exercise in creativity. In 2015 I founded Moonbeam Hammocks funded through a successful kickstarter campaign. I designed all products, branding, and built the ecommerce website. In 2018 I started Supernatural Gardens Cannabis. I designed and built all facility systems, created the logo and branding, and developed a popular line of high-end infused prerolls. Beginning in 2018, I began producing invite-only art and music events around Maine and New Hampshire, melding art installations and electronic music. These events are produced by a collective of friends, and include live painting, acro yoga, juggling, performance art, body work and flow arts, along with casual morning-after integration sessions. In 2021 I helped create Love Your Wild Self - a series of yoga and ecstatic dance retreats - with Megan Levitt of the Wild Island Center, and Erin Paradis of Alpenflow wellness. I currently work in conservation for Islesboro Islands Trust as Preserve and Trail Steward. I manage the preserves and trails, run social media, and build and manage the website, as well as serving on the advisory board. In my free time I write fiction and non-fiction, design and build gardens and structures, draw and paint, play music, bowhunt, cook, organize and DJ parties with an amazing crew of talented and accomplished friends, and.get distracted by shiny things. I also design and build installations with my partner, the sculptor and artist Corinna DSchoto. She is a professor of sculpture at MassArt, and founder of 10b, Boston's only alternative art space.
