About Daniel Umpherson

I have worked at the Calgary Public Library for nearly 9 years, as a shelver, library experience assistant, receiving and stores clerk, library experience guide, library experience facilitator, and a member of the Employee Engagement Action Team. I also work part time at the Airdrie Public Library as a Shift Supervisor. I used to work as a Ride Operator and Senior Team Ride Operator at Calaway Park. I have plenty of experience in working independently, with colleagues, with patrons; while doing shelving, software troubleshooting, budgeting, customer service and conflict resolution, and team collaborations. I have strong leadership and supervising skills, along with mentorship and soft skills such as emotional intelligence. I've had multiple volunteer opportunities with children and adolescents, from providing welcome tours at Bishop Carroll High School for grade 9 students, to teaching, supporting and doing activities with young children and toddlers in a church's Sunday School.
