About Daniel Vanopstall

A persistent and early starter, I learned to manage my life right from Grade 3 when I first navigated excel sheets, built my first business (dog waste pickup) to earn $600 within the year. Through the years, I managed a lawn mowing service, a landscaping business, a small business for removal and installation of boat docks and lifts. Through college, I spent my summers working 8 hour days with 3 hours of football training sessions after work. Never to compromise on the quality of my effort, this is what people say about me: “If you want someone who does everything the right way, look at Dan” I sustained my football career, alongside academics, my startups (Bluechip Careers LLC id#: 802665833, Business plan successfully securing funding from MSU’s Burgess Institute), with a never give up work ethic that saw me from a walk-on to being a varsity letter winner, playing every game in 2020 and 2021. My efforts saw me become an All Big Ten academic honoree (Fall 2020 & 2021). In my current position at Mercer I specialize in M&A due diligence and executive compensation including retention, incentive compensation in all industries.
