As a Transaction Monitoring Analyst at Shift4, my main responsibilities include: • Reviewing alerts triggered by our Transaction Monitoring (TM) tool; • Analyzing datasets from various sources to identify patterns, trends and anomalies that may be indicative of suspicious activity; • Identifying potentially suspicious activities or transactions that violate regulatory requirements or company policies; • Conducting in-depth investigations of alerts generated by the TM tool or raised by other teams, to determine if there is a risk of money laundering, fraud or other financial crimes; • Compiling reports and presenting findings to management, regulatory bodies, law enforcement and other relevant third parties as necessary; • Identifying potential risks and implementing preventative, detective and mitigative measures; • Developing and maintaining policies, procedures and systems related to transaction monitoring and anti-money laundering compliance; • Ensuring adherence to pertinent regulations, laws and guidelines related to anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and other financial crimes; • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as fraud, risk management and compliance to identify and address risks effectively; • Staying up to date with the latest trends and developments in the field of transaction monitoring and financial crime prevention.
