About Daniel Vera

I will begin medical school at the University of Alberta in August 2025 (Class of 2029). There, I will identify which specialty I would like to do, but so far I have identified family medicine, emergency medicine, cardiology, and sports medicine as areas of interest. Previously, I was a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) in cancer clinical trials at Alberta Health Services (AHS). In this role, I ensured regulatory compliance for my trials in cancer types such as Leukemia and Lymphoma (LL). As a graduate student, I worked on a project related to atherosclerosis and cardiovascular sciences, and I published two journal articles related to my work. As an undergraduate student, I worked in a proteomics lab and I have experience in several biochemistry laboratory techniques such as SDS-PAGE. In my downtime I like to go skiing, running, hiking, or whatever else gets me out of the house!
