My career has focused on the use and integration of several devices used in clinical diagnosis and research to measure the brain: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): uses radio waves to generate 3D anatomical and functional measures of the brain (or body). Electroencephalography (EEG): measures brain activity on a millisecond scale by measuring changes in the electrical voltage of the scalp. Magnetoencephalography (MEG): measures brain activity on a millisecond scale by using sensors to measure the magnetic field from the brain. Inverse Problem: the problem of determining the sources of activity measured in MEG & EEG. Due to mathematics, the Inverse Problem is unsolvable.
