About Daniel Weipert

As a child, Microsoft Visual Basic was my playground. Even though I played sports and was very socially active at school and in the community, I've always been what most people would consider a "nerd," and I'm perfectly okay with that. My family bought a very early desktop. Since then, I've always wanted to figure out what made it work under the hood. After breaking it many times, I figured out how to fix it, before my parents used it next and found out. I've always been interested in how the computer works, from microchips to peripherals. However, my passion is software and what can be accomplished with the machine and a human telling it what to do (or how to do it). After being built, the computer is a tool, that needs to be put to work in new ways. New generations of software are improving upon this. Software that can be run anywhere, on any machine. Over the better half of more than fifteen years, my proficiency has evolved from software to a jack of all trades regarding computers and other electronics and product or project management solutions. I've even branched out to marketing to help the many people I advise see their products viewed by more eyes. A few of the big buzzwords these days are "Cloud,""Big Data," and "AI." I do see these ideas taking off. My personal favorite is the "Internet of Things." When we start using these technologies widely in the home and software starts doing more than ever, I don't want to be a side-line observer. I want to be on the front line solving everyday, real-world challenges, safely, securely, and efficiently. My utmost passion is software for the internet or the web. I specialize in web development, design, and applications, including content management systems. My daily job is as a Software Engineer. I also have many years of experience as a lead system and network administrator, while supervising team members. I work with servers, desktops, laptops, virtual machines (VMs), smartphones, and anything with an operating system. In addition, I work privately with clients to create business-needed and personal software, networks, and cloud infrastructure. My beautiful wife, our three amazing kids, and I live in the States. I work anywhere.
