Experienced Toolmaking Expert with a Global Perspective.” The toolmaking industry is an exclusive circle of professionals where you encounter old and new acquaintances from around the world. My entire career revolves around toolmaking. At the age of 16, I began my apprenticeship as a tool an die maker and graduated with honors. However, working solely as a tool and die maker wasn’t enough for me. During my international commissioning assignments, I learned about the responsibilities of project managers, and I knew: this is my calling! So, I returned to school! I completed training as a mechanical engineering technician and earned a degree as a technical business administrator, positioning myself directly in project management. With each project, I grew and recognized the importance of processes and transparent communication in project management. We soon established our first project team to define interfaces more clearly and introduce regular communication protocols. Shortly thereafter, I assumed full responsibility for project management in toolmaking at Allgaier. It was crucial to maintain an overview of order volumes of up to 100 million euros, continuously develop processes, and communicate transparently both internally and with customers. In 2018, I took on the role of Head of Tool and die shop, focusing on implementing shop-floor management, leading approximately 170 employees, and optimizing manufacturing processes. In 2019, I also became the Managing Director of Allgaier Beijing. Allgaier Beijing was responsible for supporting suppliers in Asia and ensuring successful integration at our customer sites in China. Throughout 2020, as the demand for tools declined significantly, I honed my skills in project management, strategic planning and restructuring to ensure the company’s success.
